Q1: Do you use both film and digital mediums?

A1: Yes. My main focus is documenting your day as authentically as possible. I, as an experienced professional, will determine and use whatever medium and tool necessary to best document the moment. I use a combination of film and digital cameras to do this.

Q2: How would you describe your aesthetic and photography style?

A2: My aesthetic you could describe as "quiet luxury meets mountain chic". My photography style can be described as documentary, un-fussy, intentional, and always people-focused.

Q3: Will you make us feel comfortable in front of the camera?

A3: I truly believe people aren’t awkward. You and your spouse go about your daily lives interacting with each other not feeling uncomfortable - it’s just inherently awkward to know that a camera’s on you. That's what make's people say "I'm awkward in front of the camera". In other words, it's me - not you! My goal, in documenting your wedding, is to never sacrifice a genuine moment for a "perfect" image. I will guide when needed, but otherwise I will document the day, relationships, the planned and unplanned of your wedding as it naturally unfolds.

Q4: Do you travel for your engagement sessions and weddings?

A4: Yes. The majority of my clients choose to celebrate their engagement session and marriage in various destinations including Jackson Hole, WY., Sun Valley, ID., Franklin, TN., and more. I also travel internationally for events.

Finding a good wedding photographer whose vision was similar to mine was definitely a bit of a challenge. To me, the most important part was to capture the energy of our big day, so I was looking for someone who wouldn’t make us do endless rounds of stationary portraits with different groups of people, but would instead be able to blend in with our guests and hopefully also have some fun while taking photos.

I wanted to see lots of pictures of our guests, not just us in different settings. And I think Becca did a fantastic job! She was very easy and pleasant to work with. We came up with a short list of must have photos before hand, and aside from that I could just relax and enjoy the celebration. She made trusting her very easy.

I am very happy with the result too! The photos turned out to be full of life and our portraits are so beautiful that I think we could be on a magazine cover!

Becca went above and beyond to capture our engagement session. The day of our scheduled shoot was freezing cold and sprinkling off and on. Due to living out of town and only being home over a holiday weekend, rescheduling was not an option for us.
